Sharing Paradise
Having lived on Oʻahu and Kauaʻi, I’ve been surrounded by breathtaking island scenery that has stopped me in my tracks, reminded me to slow down, and taught me gratitude, resilience, and perspective. I wish everyone could experience the trade winds, warm sunshine, and peaceful spirit of these islands. While I can’t invite the whole world to Hawaiʻi, I created Aloha Life Letters to send a little piece of paradise straight to your mailbox.
Each month, I feature two different pieces of my Hawaiʻi-inspired artwork, beautifully reproduced for you to enjoy, along with a personal letter featuring my handwriting. Inside, I share heartfelt stories, reflections, encouragement, a Hawaiian word or phrase, and meaningful glimpses into life, language, and culture in the islands. You’ll also receive access to a private video of me reading your monthly letter aloud, with a companion ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi video lesson exploring the pronunciation, meaning, usage, and cultural context of the month’s featured word or phrase.
For U.S. subscribers, the two featured artworks arrive as a signed 5×7 art print and a 4×6 collectible art postcard—two different pieces to display, collect, or share. For international and EU subscribers, both featured artworks are reproduced together on a beautiful art greeting card designed especially for international mailing. No matter where you live, your membership is $17 per month with free shipping. From time to time, I may tuck in a little “just because” surprise, too.
I can’t wait to fill your mailbox with a peaceful pause each month—a little island inspiration, heartfelt encouragement, meaningful connection, and tangible joy you can hold in your hands, sent with aloha from Kauaʻi to wherever in the world you call home.

Aloha!
I’m Kelly Valencia-Aiken—the Kaua'i-local artist, author, and voice behind Aloha Life Letters. As a lifelong letter writer, I created this monthly art print and snail mail subscription club to share Hawaiian art prints, personal life stories, and island warmth.
I’ve spent decades writing, publishing, teaching, and creating, but at my core, my life’s work has always been encouraging people. Over the past 30 years, I’ve personally handwritten and sent more than 10,000 multi-page letters to individuals across 50 countries—at one point maintaining active correspondence with over 200 pen pals worldwide.
Aloha Life Letters brings that lifelong passion full circle. Being a subscriber means joining an intimate circle of art lovers and kindred spirits who choose to slow down, disconnect from screens, and celebrate life’s everyday wonder.

SAMPLE ART & LETTER

Each monthly mailing includes a personal letter in my own handwriting, carefully reproduced for every subscriber and filled with encouraging life lessons, island insights, and personal reflections.
Hand-painted in rich acrylics, this fine art print features the Maʻo hau hele—Hawaiʻi’s native yellow hibiscus—brought to life with bold contrast, textured petals, and radiant island light.

Hand-painted in watercolor, this fine art print features Hawaiʻi’s beloved state fish, the humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa, rendered with vibrant island colors, delicate details, and the fluid beauty of watercolor.
