ARTWORK & COPYRIGHT POLICY
Artwork & Copyright Policy
ALOHA LIFE LETTERS LLC
Effective Date: July 14, 2026 Last Updated: July 14, 2026
Every piece we make begins as original art by Kelly Valencia. This policy protects that work and explains, clearly and warmly, what you can and cannot do with the art you buy or see at Aloha Life Letters.
1. Original Art and Ownership
All Artwork, illustrations, designs, and related images offered by Aloha Life Letters, including our prints, Original Artwork, mini canvases, greeting cards, stickers, bookmarks, seasonal collections, and Digital Products, are original works created by Kelly Valencia and owned by Aloha Life Letters LLC. They are protected by copyright the moment they are created, and all rights are reserved by us.
2. Copyright Stays With Us
When you buy a product, including an Original Artwork or a Digital Product, you own that physical item or your personal copy of the file, but the copyright and all other intellectual property rights remain with Aloha Life Letters LLC. Purchase does not transfer copyright or grant any license beyond the personal rights described below.
3. What You May Do
• Personal display: Enjoy and display your Artwork in your home, office, or personal space.
• Framing: Frame and hang prints and Original Artwork however you like for personal display.
• Gifting: Give a physical item you purchased to someone as a gift.
• Personal social sharing: Share photos of our Artwork on social media for personal, non-commercial purposes, keeping our watermark or signature intact and crediting Aloha Life Letters.
• Digital Products: Download and print a purchased digital file for your own personal use, within the limits printed on the listing and in our Digital Products, Courses & Member Area License Agreement.
These same personal-use rights apply whether the Artwork was purchased, gifted to you, or received as an Unexpected Surprise.
4. What You May Not Do
Without our prior written permission, you may not:
• Reproduce, copy, scan, or reprint our Artwork for anything beyond the personal use allowed with your purchase
• Sell, resell, license, or otherwise commercialize our Artwork or any derivative of it
• Use our Artwork on products, print-on-demand services, or merchandise
• Remove, crop out, alter, or obscure any watermark, signature, or copyright notice
• Redistribute, email, or upload our digital files or images to any website, file-sharing service, or platform
• Create NFTs, blockchain tokens, or other digital assets from our Artwork
• Use our Artwork or images to train, fine-tune, or build any AI or machine-learning model or dataset
• Scrape, harvest, or use automated tools to collect our images or content
• Claim our work as your own or use it in a way that suggests we endorse you or your business
5. Original Artwork Included as Unexpected Surprises
From time to time, we love to tuck a little extra joy into your mail. We may include original Artwork, miniature paintings, sketches, studies, artist proofs, or other one-of-a-kind creations as complimentary Unexpected Surprises. When you receive one, you own the physical piece and are warmly welcome to display, frame, enjoy, or gift it for personal use.
As with everything we create, Aloha Life Letters LLC retains all copyright and other intellectual property rights in these pieces unless we expressly transfer them to you in writing. Because the copyright stays with us, an Unexpected Surprise may not be reproduced, scanned, digitized, copied, licensed, printed, made into prints or merchandise, used for print-on-demand, advertising, or derivative works, uploaded for AI training or dataset creation, or turned into NFTs, tokens, blockchain assets, or other digital collectibles without our prior written permission. These restrictions also apply to any other commercial exploitation of the Artwork. These personal-use rights and limits mirror those in the rest of this policy, as well as in our Copyright & Legal Permissions, Terms & Conditions, and Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Classroom and Organizational Use
We love that teachers and community groups appreciate our work. Ordinary personal display of a purchased item is always fine. If you would like to reproduce our art for a classroom, organization, or group setting, or use it as part of teaching materials, please request permission first at aloha@alohalifeletters.com, and we'll be happy to discuss an appropriate permission or licensing arrangement. To help us respond quickly, please include your organization's name, the number of copies requested, and the intended use.
7. Commercial Licensing
If you would like to use our Artwork commercially, for example, in a product, a publication, packaging, or a promotion, we may be open to licensing. Reach out with the details of your intended use, including where, how, and for how long. We'll review every request individually and, if it's a good fit, let you know the available licensing terms.
8. Protecting Our Work
Unauthorized reproduction, digital redistribution, print-on-demand misuse, watermark removal, scraping, AI training use, and NFT creation are violations of our rights, and we take them seriously. We may pursue any remedies available to us under the law. If you are ever unsure whether a use is allowed, please just ask us first.
